Christmas came early (or late)
After complaining about not updating my other sites, I finally found something new to add to TGWLSK: 3 new books I bought today; Green Mile, IT, and Firestarter. I’m going back tomorrow with a list of books I have, because I don’t have Desperation yet, for instance, and I saw it there (I’m desperate to get it, har har).
It was quite a lucky find today because Firestarter is a paiiin to find in the libraries (read: it doesn’t exist) and IT’s been quite difficult too. Now I have them! And I only have to wrap them in book plastic and finish the Cook I’m reading and I get to read them too!
I also placed an order on the Bachman Books.
I used to have all of Stephen King’s books. And I kept them as a collection because I’d read them all.
Then when he wrote Needful Things I was starting to get really bored with him and finding that book so damned redundant, so I pretty much stopped reading him, maybe about a book or so after that.
So I ended up giving all my books to the library and stopped collecting any authors. Too bad it’s so long ago or I would have sent them to you.
All?! *faints* I would love to have them all, too, one day. I think I’m half-way through.
Needful Things is a nice movie I don’t remember much about the book although I read it 3 years ago. What I like about it is that it has a lot of familiar characters. Actually, I could read it again some day.
I don’t know what it is about King (his books, I mean :P) that appeals to me. I don’t collect any other authors, just Kings and dictionaries. Oh, and Dan Brown, but he has only 4 books (for now).
I can’t wait to get back to the bookstore today with the list of books I already have (I’m going to get Desperation and hopefully I saw Insomnia there). Also, the Bachman books were ordered from the publisher today, but I don’t know how long it’ll take.
