Groovay!
I did it! I got meself an MP3 player! It’s a black (duh) Creative Zen Nano Plus. I thought a purple one would be nice too but I don’t think they had any. I’m currently transferring all my Robbie songs to it
It has a radio (from which you can also record) and voice recorder (I don’t need that but oh well) — 1 Gb space should serve my music need (I was thinking of getting a 512 Mb instead but caved in). The LCD screen looks really nice and crispy.
That’s exactly the model I was considering! So many neat features, I’d like the radio with an mp3 player, believe it or not (because no matter how many albums I have, you can’t beat being able to catch your favorite shows on the move)
I’m liking this so far The only big minus I’ve found is that the earphones are too big for my ears! They’re whopping (the earphones)!! I’m going to need to buy new ones or use one of my old ones (that have a long cord of course because they’re for walkmans).
The radio is nice. I auto-tuned the channels and deleted all except the ones I like (ending up with about 8 out of 20-something). I usually just listen to one channel, though.
Now I’m digging out all my old CDs that I never listen to anymore, picking out the good songs. I’ll probably start listening to music every time I take our dog out. I should be listening to the environment though because the bikers around here are nuts (and never ring a bell even though they see a dog — an energetic here-and-there running dog — ahead).
That’s the same kind I have, with the radio and 1g and the voice recorder.
I had my knickers in a twist to get one and now I find I hardly ever use it. The only time I do use it seems to be if I’m on the subway and there’s some asshole who’s got his own player playing really loudly, and so I put mine on so I can’t hear his.
Oh yeah, Mike, I also like the controls a lot. Very well designed. Minimalistic but just right.
Jafer, I’m going to take the player to work because sometimes the whiners (or singular, really) really really get on my nerves and it sometimes is distracting. I usually don’t mind people speaking around me and it’s difficult to distrub me, but gossiping, giggling, yapping and complaining pierce into through my mental earplugs too well. And as I wrote previously, I’m going to start listening to music when I’m walking the dog. It was really refreshing.
OoOoO.. nice ! I heard that often a lot from the webbie =p. Most people choose this MP3 Player – guess it’s very lovable? Nice features though – i must admit! It includes a radio – that’s cool =]. Have fun downloading songs to it!
Wheeee! I notcied that you added the “increase/decrease height” for the textarea – way cool funnnn…
Vera, yeah, I also tried to add increase/decrease width (but failed so far), because on this screen the default textarea looks so tiny (but not on a 800×600, that’s why it is so small) so I don’t get all the use out of my screen
To me an mp3 player is supposed to be small, so I didn’t want any of those other Creative models (they’re like Apple iPod, that size). This has a neck strap, so it’s easy to use when I’m walking the dog If I stuffed it in a pocket, the earphone cord would get in the way.
It seems like it works though =S..
Yepp.. as long as it’s convient, it’s all good =D.
Increasing/decreasing height does work, but not width. Not yet. I’ll get it working when I’m able to bother
Ooh whoops, srry ehhe.. i read it wrong
Good luck to that – i’m sure you’ll be able to get it working as usual ;D
