New toy
Pretty pretty pretty!!
I bought this today. I’d been trying to decide which model to get and this, Nokia 6101, had stuck to my head; nothing I compared it to seemed better. So, I decided on it. It is a folding phone so I’ll have to get used to it, but somehow it seems better than the short phones with which you have to decide whether you want to hear well or want the other person to hear you well.
The ringtones were disgraceful 80s disco jiggajiggas so I picked up a new one (a Robbie song). I was trying to find a game (Sudoku and/or Trivial Pursuit) but the sites claimed the games weren’t compatible with my phone. I’ll have to keep looking.
OOoOo.. nice ! How much did you buy it for?
oo.. that sucks =(.. *deciding whether you want to hear well or want the other person to hear you well.* That’s so annoying.. either way it’s bad lol xD. I can’t stand it for one thing, that’s for sure!
LOL. ringtones x)..
aww, hope you find some other games that are compatible with your phone =].. don’t want to be bored to death without one/some!
That looks a lot like my phone, very nice – you get used to the flip thing really quickly except when your phone rings, and you go searching around in your purse and then you find it and then you have to take it out of the case, and then you flip it open, and then you push the button, and then the call has already gone to voicemail.
I have some kind of solitaire-like game on my phone, but I never play it. And I’ve bought half a dozen ringtones, but the one I just bought recently was a really irritating constant noise that makes me aware it’s my phone – all the song ringtones I bought just made me think music was playing in the background.
You can hear my irritating ringtone http://www.idiotonastick.com/talk/podcasts/newestringtone.mp3.
I also have Solitaire and that plumbing game where you have to connect different shaped bits of pipe before the water starts coming. I also had a golf game but it was biggest and I hate golf games so I deleted it. Now I remembered I most of all need Snake game! That mustn’t be hard to find.
At least my phone has the setting to answer by flipping the phone open. I have set it to disabled, but maybe I’ll have to try it out. I just wonder if it’ll answer right away if the cover is open already.
It was “on sale” for 219 € and I took my old phone there and got 15 off of the price.
Well, I said that sort of tongue-in-cheek.
No Snake (anyone remember it called ‘Viper’ on C64) on a Nokia? I’ve never seen one without.
A friend of mine has Tetris on his phone, not sure what brand. Only thing that came with mine was a demo (!?) version of Space Invaders. I also downloaded this Gems game, but it was obviously written for a taller screen.
Snake’s been missing from Nokias for quite a while. Stupid designers.
nokiapower.com has stuff you can download for free – I have two Trivia Pursuit games from there and I am SO addicted. I just downloaded Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Weakest Link and Monopoly.
I also have the 6101 – just got it at the end of December – and I LOVE it!
Thanks Autumn, I’ll check out nokiapower.com. I finally got a Trivial Pursuit that works in 6101. I’ve had quite trouble finding games that work on 6101. At least the sites where I’ve been to don’t list it as one of the compatible phones for the games I’d like, for example there are two X-Files games that I’d really really want but I’m not sure if they’d work. I’ve also tried to find a Sudoku for my phone, but a site where I found a nice one, didn’t support my GSM carrier (the service provider).
