No more Ms. Favourite-Coy
From this day on I will never hesitate to say proudly: I like Stephen King books. He’s a great author!
In the past few weeks I’ve said too many times “weeeell, I don’t know if I should say it aloud…”
Alright everyone, out with the confessions!
And so, WTF is wrong with that? Go ahead and like whomever you like, that’s what makes us unique.
Oh, and did you notice that shadow’s site is no longer there?
I hadn’t noticed that.
That’s a strange phenomenon. I’m sometimes embarassed when someone asks the name of a movie or song or band or whatever. But on the flip-side, when I ask someone, I don’t think it should be embarrasing at all. I don’t associate my feelings of the author/singer/whatever with the person enjoying it. I think that’s true of almost everybody.
I take all that back when we’re talking about fads, though. I always have to furrow my brow when I see an adult (especially adult males age 35+), with a Harry Potter book under their arm.
Otherwise, enjoy! World would be a boring place if we all liked the same things.
(I’d be more embarrassed to listen to Robbie than read Stephen King.)
I’m glad I read your comment at work via the XML feed because then I saw the URL and didn’t click (‘nudo’ is quite revealing — ‘scuse the pun — even if it is Italian). Quite NSFW (not safe for work)
Alright, so he has that side of him… But also this, this, and THIS (I’m using that wallpaper).
Anyway, I talked on the bus with one of our artsy people from work, she said she likes Stephen King too. And if someone starts moaning about how trash it is, we just say that it takes intelligence to see the genious behind the “trash” they think there is. OK, so I’ve got Stephen King covered… who would like Robbie with me?
