Post-check post-fix post-check post-fix post-check fix
Home sweet home, indeed. I’m getting so tired of this.
Last summer they started fixing things around the building according to what people had reported. (Well, except for my balcony.) One day I got a note that they’d be fixing my balcony door (I hadn’t reported it but I’m glad they caught there was something wrong with it).
After a while I got a note they’d be checking that the balcony door is ok now. Well, it wasn’t, so I got a second note that they’d be fixing it.
It was at the beginning of this winter, I believe, when I got a note that they’d be checking that the latest fix had fixed it. (It needs to be cold for a while to take the measurements or whatever.) Well, it hadn’t been fixed, so I got a third note that they’d be fixing it.
Last Friday I got a note saying that they’d check the door again on Monday. They checked it today and guess what — I got a note saying that they’re fixing it again, tomorrow!
Sigh. I’ve been living here soon for 2 years and I still have builders marching around my apartment when I’m not around.
It’s the same thing with old buildings: they replace the windows and balcony doors, you find out they “leak cold”, they fix them, check, fix again …
Or you complain about it being always very hot and suggest installing thermostat valves on the heating radiators. People say no, because they don’t like thermostats (go figure). Two years later thermostats are installed on all radiators, over a few months, people coming in for pre-survey, install, adjustment. And now apparently something is wrong, so all the thermostats are removed and a week later they come and measure (what? temperature? flow? eh?). And I’m guessing they will reinstall thermostats, come back for adjustments, and … :-/
Anyway, nice to see you posting and I’m glad I can take a moment to comment.
Oh goodie… nice to know what I have to look forward to in years to come. It just feels so violating; I have all my things here and they could pretty much do anything and steal anything they wanted. I’m taking care to hide my laptop.
So, they came here again yesterday to do a li’l fixin’. They just slipped a note in saying that they’re going to be checking the situation. Who wants to make a bet that I’ll get yet another note saying they’ll need to fix some more?
